With the increasing trend of urban development and construction and the development turning private rebuilds into more massive constructions, one of the most important challenges in planning and design is meeting the different needs of residents.
Mehrshahr apartment 210 is one example where in its design and construction processes, NESHA’s specialists changed the role of the architect to the urban planner to meet the general needs of the house. This project, which was one of the 45 selected works of Iranian art and architecture to be showcased at the Venice Architecture Biennial in 2016, is a building containing 11 residential units with 2500 square meters total area, which is built on a land lot of 1000 square meters in Mehrshahr, Karaj. The structure of this building is of concrete and unique architecture has been adopted in the design of its stairs and lighting.
The construction of this complex was commissioned by the private sector in the spring of 2014. In this design, moreover, the diversity of patterns and living spaces in response to the social diversity of residents is one of the key ideas to develop the floor plans and program so that it could address a more socially diverse group of people and better adapt to the different needs of its residents.
